SHIPPING POLICY

 

Shipping Rates

Shipping charges will apply to all orders. Your shipping rate will be calculated and displayed before the final checkout so you can review it before completing your purchase.

 

When are letters posted?

The first letter will be posted on the 1st or 15th of the month (depending on your order date i.e. orders between 15th - 31st of the month will be posted on the 1st of the following month and orders placed between 1st and 14th month will be posted on the 15th of that month. 

The first letter will contain an additional letter explaining the gist and introducing the character. 

Subsequent letters are posted on the 1st and 15th of every month via Royal Mail standard post.

 

When are other products posted?

Other products are typically posted within 3–5 working days from the date of your order. During busier periods, please allow up to 10 working days for despatch.

 

Carrier

All letters and parcels are sent using Royal Mail.

 

Resending Letters

Given the nature of post, it may occasionally be necessary to resend letters. We rely on timely and accurate information from our customers to ensure letters are deliverable. We ask all customers to:

(1) provide an accurate and deliverable address at the point of checkout, and

(2) promptly notify us of any change of address as soon as possible.

If a letter is not delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, a typing error, or because the customer has moved without notifying us, we will resend one letter free of charge. Further letters can be resent at a cost of £5 per letter within the UK.

 

If you are moving, please notify Friends from Afar at hello@friendsfromafar.co.uk with your updated address as early as possible. Failure to do so may result in delayed or missed letters.

 

Please note that arranging a Royal Mail redirection will not automatically update your address with us. You must notify us directly, and we also encourage you to update your address in your online account.

 

If letters go missing because we were not notified of an address change in time, we will resend one letter at no cost to you.

 

For prepaid customers: additional letters beyond the one free resend may be sent for £5 per letter within the UK.

 

For monthly subscription customers: you will continue to be charged monthly for the remaining duration of your subscription until 12 payments have been made. Any additional letters required beyond those payments may be resent for £5 per letter within the UK.

 

If a letter is damaged, lost, or discarded due to customer error, a resend fee of £5 per letter within the UK.

 

If a letter is incorrect, damaged, missing components, or undeliverable due to an error on our part, we will resend the letter(s) at no cost to you.

 

Exchanging for a Different Story

You may switch to a different story within 60 days of purchase for a fee of £5 per letter if already sent or processed. After 60 days, story changes are unfortunately not available.

 

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by this policy.
